Email alerts

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to set up DOORS to alert me if anyone makes a discussion on any of the requirements in one of the modules of the database. It would be great if I could set it up so that I would receive an email letting me know that a discussion comment has been made, who had made it and to what requirement.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Go to the DXL reference manual and look up triggers. You can put a trigger on a discussion comment, so this is possible.

Its non-trivial to set up the DOORS database to provide Email capability. Look for "email" in the forums as somewhere I lined up the 8 steps. There is also a Tech Note, but frankly I don't know how to search for them.
